Protein Shake Recipe

And now for something completely out of the blue: A recipe!

That’s right! I don’t know if it’s living with Lindsay, who likes to watch Food Network and HGTV, but I totally invented a protein shake recipe that is so beyond delicious, I thought I should share it with the world. Actually, I’m sure I didn’t invent it, but I did come up with it on my own so please allow me this false sense of accomplishment, just for this one post…

Here you go!

PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN SHAKE:

– 1-2 Handfuls of Ice
– 1 Cup 2% Milk
– 1 Scoop Protein Powder
– 2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
– 1 Tablespoon Honey

Calories: 593
Fat: 22g
Cholesterol: 55mg
Sodium: 360mg
Carbs: 56g
Sugar: 46g
Protein: 50g

Combine Ice, Milk, Powder, Peanut Butter, and Honey in Vitamix (or other, less-amazing blender) and blend until “milk-shake” consistency.

Enjoy and then resist temptation to make 11 more.

PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN SHAKE (Less Delicious/Low Fat Version):

– 1-2 Handfuls of Ice
– 1 Cup skim Milk
– 1 Scoop Protein Powder
– 2 Tablespoons Peanut Flower
– 1 Tablespoon Honey

Calories: 403
Fat: 3g
Cholesterol: 45mg
Sodium: 220mg
Carbs: 52g
Sugar: 47g
Protein: 47g
